HOW CAN WE HELP YOU WITH YOUR NEXT PROJECT?
We want to make the process of providing cost-effective material hauling vehicles less of a hassle. Providing you with the best customer service and attention to detail is what we constantly strive for when we offer our services to all sorts of business owners and clients. We believe it’s important for business owners to understand what kind of value they will get from having a contractor provide trucking services. As for the duties and functions of a truck driver, they must be able to perform various tasks including:
Examine the vehicle for any defects which could adversely affect the operating condition after each trip
Use tractors and trailers to transport and deliver tools and equipment
Load company materials and property onto the vehicle securely
Properly read a map and find the next destination
Abide by all state, local, and federal laws and regulations
Follow the foreman’s directions especially with any changes in weather
Regularly clean and maintain the truck
Refuel and grease the truck daily
Each truck driver is assigned to their own truck and do pre and post trip inspections daily. We randomly drug test our drivers and have weekly safety talks and monthly safety meetings to meet trucking safety regulations.
The job of maintaining and repairing the vehicles is up to the two mechanics at our office shop, and we also have a mobile mechanic truck in case a truck breaks down or has a flat tire. This way, the truck driver can get back on the road without losing too much time. These processes are part of how we make sure our employees are performing their jobs to the best of their ability, and what we want to offer you as a highly experienced contractor.
TYPES OF HAULING EQUIPMENT USED
We have a whole fleet of tandems and dump trucks hauling anywhere between 12-15 tons of material each, and we want to inform you about the other kinds of equipment we use for site utilities and excavation work. When you sign up for our material hauling service, it’s likely you will see one of these vehicles.
These compact-sized vehicles haul 23-25 tons of material each and can handle carrying clay, gravel, asphalt, sand, and much more. Side dumpers are essential for any large construction project, and with its flexible, swiveling body, these versatile pieces of equipment are a great asset for any backfilling work we do. Side dumpers are tractor trailer rigs.
Flatbeds are frequently used in large equipment and job materials and allow us to load heavy goods for transportation. A flatbed has a bed attached to the back with no sides or roof. These vehicles are also tractor trailer rigs.
Dump trucks are the quintessential part of any excavation job. We use these trucks to transport all kinds of material around, especially road base, asphalt, and concrete.
Most of the time, we will use our own equipment for construction jobs, although there are occasions where we will work for other construction companies on their jobs.
